Travel back in time as we explore Northern Wales, a country which clings to its language, culture, and customs in spite of modern-day lifestyle influences. Our garden tour will visit 14 gardens in this northern clime, treasures nestled in mountain valleys next to lakes, rivers, forests, and green pastures. Arriving in Manchester, we journey to the northern coast of Wales and enjoy a few days around Snowdonia National Park, castles, and ancestral homes in this Gaelic culture. As we travel on to England’s Lake District, we will visit historical and award-winning gardens in this literary-rich area. Truly a beautiful part of England, the Lake District is where the Brits travel to “get away”.

Our tour guide will point out many regional sights and has a wealth of information about the area. Your host, Alice Longfellow, will be the horticulture consultant for the tour, suggesting plants and ideas for your own gardening projects.
